The current research team Sebastian, Tobias and Dennis in front of the “RWTH Aachen tree“ on the Tsinghua Campus.

Tobias Burgard and Sebastian Berg arrived in Mai 2018 in Beijing and stay for six month. Both are currently doing their master thesis at the BP Clean Energy Research and Education Center. Tobias and Sebastian are working closely with Chinese students on an analysis of a combined cycle power plant in South China.
The German students focus on the development of a dynamic model and a detailed analysis of operation measurements. The aim is to investigate especially the start-up behavior of the power plant in terms of increasing the operational flexibility. The master theses are supervised by Dennis Toebben, research assistant at IKDG. He came to Beijing in July and supervises the students on site for three months.
